When the girls would follow Our Lady, many times their feet appeared to be moving at a normal gait, but
their bodies were moving so fast that people couldn't keep up with them. A doctor was asked once if the
children could keep their heads thrown back like this for any length of time and he said "No, because
the blood would cease from going to their brain and they would pass out and if they continued this sort
of thing for any length of time, it would seriously impair their health." Yet their ecstasies lasted
anywhere from 1 minute to 8 hours.
